Drug Trafficking Related Offences
Media Release – Drug Trafficking Related Charges
On Sunday, June 23rd at approximately 11:50pm patrol officers engaged in a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation resulting from a vehicle stop.
A man was found to be in violation of his probation and release conditions resulting from previous incidents. He was not have contact with a woman with whom he was found in a vehicle with.
The man was arrested for these violations. A search incident to arrest revealed quantities of cocaine, purple fentanyl and methamphetamine. As a result of the investigation the woman was also arrested.
A 34 year old Wallaceburg man has been charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Fail to comply with a recognizance order – drug possession
- Fail to comply with a recognizance order – at-large without surety
- Fail to comply with a recognizance order - non communication order
A 45 year old Wallaceburg woman has been charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Fail to comply with a recognizance – drug possession
Both accuseds were held for bail hearings in Walkerton.
